Christmas is right around the corner, and London will be getting a sample of it later tonight!
Starting at 6pm, Londoners are invited to join the annual Santa Claus parade! This holiday tradition brings friends and families together to be part in a variety of floats, bands, and community groups marching together in the streets of London. The theme this year is “Eh” Canadian Christmas.
However, make note as the parade route is slightly different than past years. It starts Dundas Street at Egerton at 6pm. From there it’ll move from Dundas Street West to Quebec Street and later onto Queens Avenue. The parade is expected to finish around 7:30pm at Ridout. See the full route below.
As for weather, you’ll need to dress warm and bring your umbrella as well. Rain and wind expected for the evening, temperatures dropping as low as minus 2.
Don’t forget! The Santa Claus parade urges participants to wear their poppies and bring your toonies and teddys for donations.
