London District Catholic School Board members will meet this evening to discuss their budget shortfall.
The unexpected expenses are likely to use up all the Boards reserves, resulting in $4.2 million in the red.
This comes after changes last spring causing the boards $230 million budget to be $2 million short, making them use reserves.
And, there has been worry of being another $2 million short in 2015.
There is a possibility the province will send a supervisor over to sort out the issues for the Board, much like they did previously in Toronto and Windsor.
The meeting starts at 7 o’clock tonight, and its expected trustees are to submit their most recent update to the Ministry of Education, as well as defer approving the budget until December 15th.
This is the last meeting with the current board members, and the new elected members will be sworn in next month.
