Police officers with guns drawn surrounded B.Davison Secondary School Friday morning after receiving a call about a student bringing a gun.
London police responded to the school located at 785 Trafalgar St. around 9:17 a.m. B.Davison along with four other schools were immediately placed under lockdown.
Residence living near the school were also lockeddown and streets were closed.
Police say shortly before 10 a.m. a cap gun matching the description of the gun was found.
About an hour after the lockdown began at B.Davison, a teen was escorted out of the school in handcuffs and placed in a nearby police car.
The lockdown at all schools was lifted by 10:30 a.m.
London Police Const. Ken Steeves says “We had five schools locked down in the area for safety precautions. The student had associates linked to different schools.”
No one was injured.
Police confirm the teen is a student at B.Davison and is a youth.
The investigation continues and no word yet if charges will be laid.
