The Knights won comfortably, 6-2 against the Sarnia Sting. It was a game to Max Domi will remember, scoring a highlight real goal, being the first star and seeing former teammates Bo Horvat and Olli Maatta from the NHL. This lead to a big embrace by Domi and his former center men Bo.
“I just saw him for the first time in a long time so it was really nice to see him.”
Now for the goal, as Domi was given a standing ovation. He flipped the puck over the goalie before batting it into a wide-open net.
“I just saw it there, and he came out, I might as well try it. I flicked it over and lucky it got over his head and landed on my stick.”
Before the game the Knights honored the first London team, the Nationals, with an appearance by former maple elaf Darryl Sittler.
The other scorers for the Knights were: CJ Yakimowicz, Aaron Berisha, Mitch Marner, Owen MacDonald and Chris Martenet.
