Research done at the University of Alberta found that benefits in resveratrol, a compound found in red wine, are equivalent to those that we get from exercising.
Acccording to Jason Dyck, the lead researcher, this new stat will be beneficial to those who are unable to exercise as resveratrol is supposed to improve physical performance, heart function and muscle strength.
Red wine has been known to have many health benefits. Those who drink a glass of red wine a day are less likely to develop dementia, and cancer. It is also known to be good for heart health, anti-aging and can regulate your blood sugar.
Blueberries, peanut butter, red grapes, and dark chocolate are also known to have resveratrol and can aid weight-loss.
