For example, Lavender helps calm the body which is beneficial to those who suffer from anxiety and or insomnia. It also helps skin irritations such as bug bites and burns. Another popular scent is Eucalyptus which is an anti-inflammatory. Many people use Eucalyptus as it is eases mucus, clearing of the head the stuffiness of colds and soothes coughs.
Theresa also explains that Aromatherapy is often used in yoga studios and during massages as it helps enhance meditation. Also, it can be used on a daily basis in the home.
Although considered an alternative form of medicine, some would argue it is more beneficial to the body than taking pills and over the counter drugs because the oils are naturally occurring and are not pumped with extra chemicals
