Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for counties from Windsor over to Niagara Falls, including London-Middlesex.
The national weather agency is predicting 2-4 cm of snow and ice pellets to fall Tuesday morning before the freezing rain hits at midday.
Freezing rain will continue to fall for a few hours until temperatures rise slightly above the zero degree mark early this evening.
Environment Canada is warning drivers that highways, roadways, and parking lots will become slippery throughout the day.
School buses in Elgin, Middlesex, and Oxford counties have all been cancelled as a result of the weather system headed for the area. This is a list of school closures for the area where all students receive bus transportation:
