Traffic on campus

London, ON, Canada / 106.9 The X

Crowded halls and campus streets to start off the school year does not make campus security’s job easy.

Jay walking and peeping out between buses to cross the street is not safe, especially during one of the busiest times of the school year.

Special Constable Luke Edwards says, we have started a new initiative with the barriers to funnel people safely to school.

The barriers are located at high trafficked areas, such as the bus stations in front of T-building and F-Building.

Edwards suggests both pedestrians and motorists stay off their phones while in motion, and to be aware of your surroundings.

Campus Security has increased the amount of officers on patrol around school during the busy period.

The officers are easily identifiable with special constables wearing red, security officers in blue and there are students in tan uniforms from an auxiliary program.

If you’d like to visit Fanshawe’s Security Services, they are located on main campus at E1004 or they can be contacted at 519-452-4400.
