Voters decide on majority Liberal government including some London red

London, ON, Canada / 106.9 The X

The Liberals have won a majority government. Justin Trudeau is Prime Minister.

The party took an early lead in Atlantic Canada and then had their strongest showing in Quebec since the 80’s before the red wave carried across much of Canada.

The Liberal tide swept into parts of London. Liberal Kate Young defeated Tory Ed Holder who held the London West riding since 2008.

London North Centre has gone red with Peter Fragiskatos unseating Conservative Susan Truppe.

NDP MP Irene Mathyssen held on to her London-Fanshawe seat.

Elgin-Middlesex-London remains Tory blue with Karen Louise Vecchio heading to the House of Commons.
