Toronto Police have issued arrest warrants for two Pan Am Game athletes in connection to a sexual assault investigation.
In a news conference Thursday morning, police disclosed a female was sexually assaulted by two Brazilian soccer players during the July games.
Police say the men met the 20-year old victim at a night club downtown the weekend of July 25 and 26, then returned her home where they allegedly sexually assaulted her after she had fallen asleep.
The athletes then fled the scene after she awoke.
Andrew Da Silva Ventura, 22, and Lucas Dominguez Piazon, 21, would have to be extradited to Canada should they face charges.
Toronto police said they will be working with the Brazilian consulate moving forward.
