Emergency crews responded to an explosion on Bedford Street in Chatham on September 25, 2015 just after 6 o’clock.
The detached garage at the burning home caught fire causing about $25,000 damage.
Officers say that they think the explosion was due to people in the garage operating a cannabis marihuana extraction lab.
Throughout the investigation, police seized cannabis marijuana and cannabis resin with a combined estimated street value of about $1,134,387.
Two people were transported to the Hamilton General Hospital Burn Unit. They were both treated and eventually released later on.
25-year old Ryan Zelisko of Chatham, Christine Zelisko, 46, of Chatham, and 25-year old Daniel Arbour of Chatham have all been arrested and charged with two counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking and one count of production of a controlled substance.
Ryan Zelisko and Arbour have additionally been charged with arson causing bodily harm and arson causing damage to property. They have all been released and are currently pending a future court date.
