London police were sent to the intersection of Dundas and First Street before 6 a.m after a break and enter at an east end pizza restaurant.
They say a suspect with a gun approached a taxi driver demanding cash before breaking in to the Little Caesars at 1553 Dundas Street Friday morning.
Police say the cab driver drove away but then followed the suspect, who then broke into a Little Caesars, smashing the front door.
The suspect apparently took a cash register and fled, but then dropped the register in the parking lot and fled east.
The canine unit was on scene and police are hoping that surveillance video captured the incident.
The suspect is described as a white male, about 25 years old, 5’7’’, wearing light blue jeans, a dark jacket and a hoodie.
There were no injuries reported and the investigation is still ongoing.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact London Police.
