As the hockey season progresses more and more people are keeping their eyes open to different levels of hockey.
This week the Iroquois Park Sports Centre held the 2015 Jr. A world hockey tournament with Team Canada East, Russia, and Switzerland.
Team Canada East off to a good start beating Switzerland in their sunday night match with an 8-3 win.
Monday night the team wasn’t so lucky. After putting up a good fight against Russia, Canada east went home with a 6-1 loss.
With dozens of family members, friends and fans in the audience the team was highly supported during their two games.
Sister of Forward player for Team Canada East (#17) Brett Murray, Arika Murray said ” Although sometimes it’s hard not having Brett around, knowing that he has the opportunity to do what he loves with such great people, is amazing.”
Games began December 13th and wrap up December 19th.
