From Masonville to downtown to east of Adelaide, farmer’s markets can be found all over London.
While the summer months have tons of people visiting these markets for local fruits and vegetables, the winter season can make producing produce a little tricky.
The Covent Garden Market on King Street is trying to bring the summer into the winter by moving the outside in.
The manager of the farmer’s market at the Covent Garden market, Christine Scheer says this is the first year they’ve brought the outdoor market—usually held on Thursdays and Sundays—to an indoor market on the second floor.
“Some of the farmer’s wanted a place to sell their products in the winter so we thought we would give it a try. We weren’t sure how people would respond, but the feedback has been tremendous,” says Scheer.
Scheer adds a lot of the vendors are selling as much as they do in the summertime
The indoor farmer’s market is held every Saturday starting at 9:00AM
