London Police will return to city council tomorrow to ask for desperately needed funding.
Council previously reduced the police budget to $393 million. At the time of the reduction, Pare said that “there is an immediate need” for these positions. Other services that may be effected include the auxiliary police program and enhancements to the 911 service.
Without the requested funding, the London Police may not be able to meet provincial mandates for adequate policing.
Tomorrow’s meeting will be eventful with big ticket items like the London Police and the proposed green bin project on the agenda.
