After a strong start that lead into a shaky couple of games, the London Jr. Knights Minor Midget AAA team have redeemed themselves as being the best in the league. Following a near shutout, 4-1 win against the Windsor Jr. Spitfires, the team advances to the next round of the playoffs. The Jr. Knights are gearing up to take on the Waterloo Wolves in the upcoming week.
It was a slow start for both teams in game seven of their playoff series, with neither London nor Windsor scoring in the first, which is unusual for the London AAA team. After a seemingly successful pep talk in the first intermission, the gameplay picked up for both teams in the second, but it was London who pulled ahead, getting the puck past Windsor goalie, James Walker three times. The energy continued into the third with London getting their final goal, and Windsor getting their only goal of the game.
Both teams showed discipline, with less penalties than in previous games. Windsor came into the game with five points, trailing London by points. The Jr. Knights had seven points were looking of the win to give them the one point they needed to move on in the playoffs.
