Recently the first American presidential debate took place and over 110 million people tuned in to watch presidential candidates Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump. Many of which were Canadian viewers. It seems like Canadians pay more attention to the American race than the Canadian race.
Matt Farrell a Fanshawe Politics Professor explains why so many Canadians are interested in this years American presidential race.
“Its almost like a TV show for Canadians, we are interested because american politics is broadcasted all over our TV, radio and things. Its everywhere around us.”
Mr. Farrell also says that Canadian politics is much more boring, ” We once moved a Prime Minister debate because it interfered with a Montreal Canadiens game.”
This years presidential campaign has grasped the attention of many viewers and is heading to an exciting finish.
