The London Economic Road Map meeting took place last Wednesday at the London Convention Centre. The meeting was to update the city of the London of the progress on the economy. Speakers included , Dr. Mike Moffatt a assistant professor at Western University. Twee Brown, CEO of High Point London Development and many more speakers.
The group defined five priorities which are accompanied by 95 initiatives/actions:
A city for entrepreneurs
A supportive business environment
An exceptional downtown, and a vibrant urban environment
A top quality workforce
A national Centre of Excellence for medical innovation and commercialization
“We know our economy thrives when the public, private and non profit sectors work together,” said mayor Matt Brown.
The five year community Economic Road Map was developed last year following city councils direction that city administration and community partners develop a strategic plan to maximize economic opportunities in London.
More than 300 people helped to identify the five priorities and action plans.
