Thousands of Londoners filled Richmond Street with holiday spirit.
The CP Holiday Train made it’s annual stop in London last night with a performance by Canadian country singers Kelly Prescott and Doc Walker, to raise funds for the London Food Bank.
Alan Withers, an organizer for the event, said the goal for this event was to raise 10,000 pounds of food as well as $10,000 towards the food bank. Withers also mentions that this event has grown tremendously since they announced the partnership with the food bank.
The Food Bank likes to stress how important it is around this time of year to help the less fortunate, whether it’s food, clothes, or money donation.
This is the 18th annual Holiday train by the Canadian Pacific, and this year they are planned to have 150 stops all over Canada and Northern United States.
