It’s was a big upset at the Budweiser Gardens Friday night. The Mississauga Steelheads ended up coming on top with a final score of 7-3.
The Steelheads came into the match up as the underdogs, but hit off with an early lead scoring 2 goals within the first five minutes of play. Steelhead right wing Spencer Watson scored 3 for his team in only his second game of this season.
After the loss, Knights Captain JJ Piccinich said “I hope a good amount of the guys in the room are scratching their heads I know I will be, but I think it’s something we need to learn from.” The Knights made a push to get back into the game in the third period but they fell short to the Mississauga offense.
The London Knights are headed to Sarina to face the Sting tonight in the first of two weekend games.
