The London Lightning squeaked by the Kitchener – Waterloo Titans 113-108 in a thrilling finish at Budweiser Gardens.
The Lightning led by as many as 22 before the Titans cut it to 3 with less than 2 minutes to go in the 4th quarter.
Ryan Anderson hit a three with less than 30 seconds left to seal the victory for the Bolts who won their second in a row at home after defeating the River Lions on Thursday night.
Royce White led the team with a triple double performance, racking up 17 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists.
White, who was one assist shy of a triple double on Thursday night, talks about his ability to pass the ball as a big man.
“We just try to keep making the right play. I was taught growing up make the right play, kick it to the open guy and we’ll shoot a high percentage . . . But there’s no question I like to pass more. There’s nothing better than getting a teammate the open shot, seeing him put it through the net. He feels good, you feel good; that’s the camaraderie you are building in my opinion.”
Up next, the Lightning head to Kitchener – Waterloo in a rematch against the Titans tomorrow night before returning home on Saturday to once again face their central division rivals.
Tip off is scheduled for 7PM at Budweiser Gardens.
