RFID-blocking wallets are designed to help insulate you from a very particular brand of electronic pickpocketing, called RFID skimming.

Of course there are other ways to protect yourself from these hackers, simply using the pin for your credit card or even the swipe while paying at the counter. You should always check your credit card statements and your bank information every so often just to make sure that everything is in order and nobody has breached your accounts.
