Hair salons, produce a lot of garbage, that has to be thrown out daily. At the Studio 133 inside the Woodstock Fanshawe College, the team has taken on the challenge to start recycling and adapting greener.
Debbie Renaud, is the coordinator for the Hair Salon. She hopes all Salons can go green in the future. Renaud states, “I’m hoping everyone will take initiative to think about ways within their own environment to go greener”
Hair, foils, and coloured tubes are a few of the things that are being recycled instead of trashed. Not only is this good for the environment but it saves a few extra dollars as well.
The Studio, first took interest in the recycling program after finding a Toronto based company pioneered a recycling program as well.
Renaud also adds that it’s a step in the right direction for Salons.
