The 2017 London Rib fest has come and gone. A weekend packed with live music, vendors and a lot of barbeque, this year’s rib fest started off with a lot of sauce but just as much rain. The rain did not stop Londoners from enjoying the festivities with over 200,000 people attending.
For those who are vegetarian or vegan; Rib Fest also offered a vegan food truck. James Mclnnes, owner of Globally Local who had a truck at the event talked about how the vegan option turned President of London Rib fest Doug Hillier vegetarian.
“Apparently, I mean he said that he tried our burger last year at Rib Fest it was something that caused him to go vegetarian. That’s amazing it shows I think that it goes to show you the power of a burger or a meal can have on people.”
This year London’s own Boss Hog’s Chophouse was the overall winner for their ribs, coming in first for people’s choice and for judge voting.
