London police arrested 5 individuals and seized almost 80 thousand dollars worth of drugs and cash during a raid of a Marijuana dispensary in downtown London, Wednesday morning.
Five people were charged following the raid, 3 from London, 1 from Toronto and 1 from Mississauga. All 5 are charged with three counts of possessing a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking, and one is also charged with Breach of recognizance and Public Mischief.
During the raid members of the Guns and Drugs Section, with the assistance of the London Police COR Unit seized
- 4211.5 grams of marijuana bud, valued at $42,115
- 35 grams of hash oil, valued at $1,750
- 40 grams of shatter, valued at $4,000
- Approximately $15,000 in cash
The London Relief Center opened approximately a month ago with the intent to sell to anyone over the age of 19 whether they had medical documentation or not.
London Police also seized a variety of THC infused products, an ATM machine and computer equipment.
