A mother is facing charges after police found a child walking along city streets.
London Police were called to a parking lot, near Florence Street at Egerton Street on Thursday at around 3:00 a.m., where they discovered a child wandering the streets alone.
Through further investigation, police found that the mother of the child entered a building around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, without the child.
The child did not require medical attention. Children’s Aid Society was contacted, and the child was moved to a safe place.
The mother of the child was charged with leave child unattended, contrary to section 79(3) of the Child and Family Services Act.
