The London Police Service Major Crimes Unit has arrested 7 people in relation to the homicide that occurred Monday night.
Raymond Beaver and his uncle George Janes were attacked in Janes’ home at 1 Lansdowne Ave. just before midnight. Janes was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries and has since been released; Beaver was pronounced dead at the hospital after being stabbed in the neck.
Police believe London’s 3rd murder of the year was a “targeted event” and not a random incident.
5 adults and 2 male youths have been arrested and charged in relation to Beaver’s death.
Daniel Cavanagh, 32, Melissa George, 34, Nicholas George, 18, Peter Townsend, 20, and Lisa Sager, 38, all from London, have been charged with break and enter and assault with a weapon. Melissa George is also charged with uttering threats.
The 2 male youths have also been charged with break and enter but can not be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
