Organizer of the group, Judi Fisher recently visited a Jewish Church in London following the Pittsburgh shooting.
“Even though we might not be able to make a huge impact on the world, we can bare witness. So, we can come together locally and bear witness together what’s going on locally.”
Their initiative is to share kindness every day and reflect on how they can better themselves in the community. It’s a new group that started meeting in September this year, and they are still in the works in deciding what further steps the group wants to take.
As we head into the busy holiday season, people often forget how fortunate we are. That’s what Founder if Reimagine Co and member, Heenal Rajani says London’s Kindness Collective group is all about. Rajani says the group keeps world issues in mind at their meetups.
“We talk about what else is going on in the world, without getting down about it. But recognize how fortunate we are to live in Canada, to have a roof over our heads, to have food in our bellies. We’re very lucky, where other people around the world are suffering massively.”
