All Starbucks snacks and meals are frozen and prepacked.
The food may look freshly baked, but all the food is ordered in. More shockingly, every single food item is individually plastic packaged.
Although most consumers may not be aware of the conditions of their food, Starbucks is very transparent about their food regulations. A local Starbucks employee says “most people comment on how the food isn’t made fresh, but no one ever notices how much plastic is being wasted when we unpack.”
Plastic Pollution
With Starbucks being a popular franchise, the overuse of plastic is something that shouldn’t go unnoticed. The impact of waste can reflect on our environment and oceans.
Plastic pollution contributes to health and environmental problems. Pollution is the lead cause to climate change which ultimately result in natural disasters.
Calling on big franchises to become eco-friendly are small steps to work towards a more sustainable environment.
