Technology is something that everyone uses in todays society. Every where you look when you go out, people are calling or texting. Unfortunately sometimes this way of communication is stopped because the user has broken their phone. Many of the users refer to their service provider to repair the phone.
Although sticking with your service provider can be good, there are many options to repair a phone. Mobilinq is a company that has kiosks set up in malls across the province. Rod Basek, a sales representative of Mobilinq encourages people to go to smaller businesses because of the lower prices. “We always keep it cheaper to keep getting customers, we check there prices that are updated and usually make it about $10 lower”
These companies have seen all kinds of phones come in with their issues. Alex Anthony from Fonelab has seen some repairs more than the others. “We fix mostly screens, sometimes charge ports, software issues, motherboard, but mostly screens.”
To fix a broken phone screen the prices vary depending on the device. On average the prices are:
Iphone
- $50 – $100
Android
- $150 – $300
The reason the android screens cost more is because the of the special oil base in the screens. This makes the screen harder to make therefore less are shipped out compared to the iphone screens.
Many people but their phones based on popularity and aesthetic. Durability to phones seems to be becoming less and less as the focus is on battery life, storage and camera quality.
