One of only ten student from both Canada and the US, Jared Boland has been selected to receive $20,000 towards his undergraduate degree. He will study French Language and Linguistics at Western in the fall, and persue his goal of being a French Teacher. Jared made a visit to the XFM studios where he and Reporter Spencer Gowan discussed his latest accomplishment.

Ingersoll District Collegiate Institute graduate Michelle Foster has left her mark on her high school. Promoting teen health, she helped create two different awareness programs: "What the Health?" focuses on healthy living among youths, and "Nic of Time' teaches teenagers the dangers of nicotine abuse. AB Lucas graduate Grace Wang was one of 40 students chosen nationwide to receive the Schulich Leader Scholarship, a new scholarship given to students who show great leadership in a community or business, outstanding school grades and / or financial need. On Tuesday, June 12th, Fanshawe College hosted the first of many graduation ceremonies this week and next.
The 10am ceremony was for the graduating class of Health Sciences and Human Services.
The guest speaker was Mr. Christopher Hood, the Program Manager at Boys' and Girls' Club of London.

Facebook made history on Friday as they went public on Wall Street.
Facebooks IPO was set at 38 USD right from the get-go and even saw a rise almost immediately.
The stock rose to over $42 but it was short lived.
Over the weekend, Facebook's stock flucuated and ended up 11% lower than their $38 IPO on monday at $34.
Why did this happen? What does the future hold? Is this a big deal?

Local London company Voices.com releases the first ever mobile voice over Industry app.
Voices.com is a voice over company that helps match employers with talent.
Their new app, released on Monday, allows people to record their voice anywhere they want and post it for employers to hear.
With the new app, you can search over 75,000 voice over talents on-the-go. You can narrow your searches to gender, location, language, voice characteristics and much more.
The app is currently only available for Apple's Operating System but that will change in the future.
