Temperatures are dropping below zero, which means that London has officially seen its first blanket of snow. However, along with the beautiful scenery comes many warnings for those planning on driving this winter.
Young Drivers Canada and the Ministry of Transportation are warning drivers to double their expected driving time in order to allow time for vehicle preparation. Drivers must completely clear their vehicles of snow, and pack a winter survival kit complete with blankets, non-perishable food, and candles.
As well, they can visit the MTO website or dial 511 on their phones to check winter road conditions.
