Reading week has started for many, and if you’re looking for something to do Fanshawes Frozen Fest has activities planned.
Tina Martin is the Student Life Coordinator at the college, she says they tried to organize inexpensive activities for students.
This Wednesday February 25th you can skate under the stars at Victoria Park, the group will be meeting at 6 o’clock pm. The only cost is to rent skates if needed. Afterwards Fanshawe’s Rodrigo Felga Decasto will be performing at Williams Coffee House at 7:30 pm.
And on Thursday February 26th the movie Frozen will be played in room D1060 at 5 o’clock pm. Carey’s Restaurant is playing host for Karaoke afterwards at 8 o’clock.
Martin says says the events were organized for international students however it’s open to everyone. She says there are 2,000 international students at Fanshawe who have come to meet domestic students and learn about the culture here. Martin says the activities planned will embrace winter and give the students a chance to experience Canada’s culture, and to skate for the first time.
