A few days earlier, Sarnia Police released a video to ask for the public’s help to identify a suspect who made off with a Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund collection box at a Tim Horton’s location on Lambton Mall Road at around 3:30 a.m. on November 7th.
The same suspect was sought in connection to a poppy box that was lifted from the information desk at the Lambton Mall a short time earlier.
Sarnia Police say they arrested a man who fit the description at the same Tim Horton’s location on Saturday at around 4 a.m. John Bruce Bradley, 56, has been charged with theft under $5,000.
At the time, police were asking anyone who spotted a man wearing a red baseball cap, dark jacket, blue jeans and carrying a black back pack to contact them.
There is no current update on any poppy boxes being recovered.
