A couple face a number of drug and firearm related charges after Police seized a loaded handgun and more than $3,300 worth of drugs.
The RCMP assisted members of the London Police force with a drug bust on December 7th.
Police arrived at the Southdale Road East home and raided the residence. During the investigation police seized:
- a Ruger 9mm DAO semi-automatic handgun with loaded ammunition
- 300 extra rounds of ammunition
- 25 grams of cocaine worth $2,500
- about 83 grams of marijuana worth $830
- almost $1,200 in cash
As a result of the investigation, 25-year old Clifton Smith and Trisha Hendricks, 25, both of London face a slew of firearm and drug related charges including possession of a loaded regulated firearm and possession of banned substances for the purpose of trafficking.
Smith remains detained by police with a scheduled court date of December 10th, while Hendricks has been released from police custody with a scheduled court date of January 22nd, 2016.
