In light of the COP 21 Paris Climate Talks, starting December 7th, London as well as other major cities around the world are standing their ground and rallying to show the government that climate change needs to be taken seriously.
Julie Picken-Cooper is an environmental activist and says “people dismiss global warming because the harsh truth can be overwhelming.”
London Citizens gathered in Victoria Park to show their support in changing the way we view global warming. Many had signs saying “Be the Change” and “Protect Our Earth.” One London citizen said, “it’s not going to be easy, and we’ll need more than a couple protests around the world in order for change to happen.”
The COP 21 summit is set to establish short and long-term goals in reducing pollution and reverse global warming.
