London Police and the Ontario Provincial Police had to work together to charge five people in connection with two robberies.
This past early Wednesday morning, two adult men entered a Mac’s Milk variety store at 507 Salisbury Ave. and demanded cash. The one man was holding a machete. Both men left with a large amount of money and cigarettes.
Later that same morning, just before 3 a.m. a woman armed with a baseball bat entered another Mac’s Milk in Thamesford. She was accompanied with another woman and the two same men from the earlier robbery. One man was armed with a machete as well.
In both incidents, money and cigarettes was stolen. The OPP then began to work with London Police to catch the suspects. After 3 a.m. the suspects were arrested on Huron St.
Two 19-year old men, an 18-year old man and two young girls all face numerous robbery related and possession of stolen goods charges.
