The high profile, sexual assault trial of Jian Ghomeshi has ended.
Ghomeshi was found not guilty on all charges, in a Toronto court room today.
Ontario Court Justice William Horkins said he had no hesitation in delivering his verdict, stating that there were serious inconsistencies with the complainants’ testimony.
Ghomeshi was initially charged with 4 counts of sexual assault and 1 count of overcoming resistance by choking.
Over the course of the trial 3 women took the stand, including Canadian actress Lucy DeCoutere.
His lawyer took the opportunity of cross examination to discredit the women’s testimony. She accused the women of lying under oath and raised question about their reliability.
Ghomeshi was the host of CBC radio show “Q,” and was fired back in October of 2014 after information was released about his sex life.
