About 80 Students from Clarke Road Secondary School will be travelling to Europe next year for the 100th anniversary of the battle of Vimy Ridge. They began a year long fund raising campaign today with a walkathon that took them to the dedication ceremony of the new Vimy Ridge monument here in London on Trafalgar Street just East of Hale. Despite it being a cold, windy morning, there was a large turn out to the dedication. The ceremony included cadets, London area veterans, speeches from local MPs Peter Fragiskatos and Kate Young, and a flyover by the Waterloo Warbirds.
