The Western fair is known for its fun attractions, and sweet food. Workers have been putting in the time all day Thursday for a successful opening. Many of the venues have been coming back to the fair for over 13 years.
The fair is a wonderful experience for all ages. If it’s a day on the farm or a night out with friends the Western fair has something for everyone.
People can get a $5 deal if they come between 3- 5 pm Monday to Thursday.
“We had such a great start last year I’m super excited about this year.” Says Vice president Scooter Korek. “We have a brand new Charlie Chopper ride which is good for the entire family and we got it this year in June. It has played at 7 fairs so far and it’s been absolutely spectacular and everyone likes it, and it’s the return of the Himalayan ride. Which I don’t think has been here for 5 or 6 years. Which is kind of a polar express do you want to go fast type ride.”
Scooter also says, the fair is keeping a traditional outlook with the food venues. Nothing new has been added, “We really focus on the traditional food so we don’t have anything really brand new ourselves but we do have a great selection of cotton candy, caramel apples, corn dogs of course, and mini donuts.” says Scooter.
A lot of people from out of town come down to visit the Western Fair.
The fair will be focusing on a lot of family entertainment, with lots of fun children entertainment. Kids can say hi to Doo Doo the Clown, Thomas the Tank and Bob the Builder.
