Habitat for Humanity invited the public to celebrate a groundbreaking event for two new homes being built on Forbes street. The two homes are being built for the Robitaille and Soloman families. Many volunteers, neighbours and students attended the event in celebration for the families.
The event began with a London student John Latosinisky reciting a poem about “home” that won him $50 000 for the habitat of his choice.
Michelle Robitaille, the owner of one of the homes is very excited to move in and she dreams of spending quality family time in her new home.
” I just cant wait to start cooking in my kitchen, watching the kids run and play outside and just regular everyday family things.”
According to Habitat Heartland in-term CEO Linda Armstrong, 62 houses have been built and the heartland area and the number is going to rise.
