Tinnitus is becoming a common problem that affects around 1 in 5 people today. Tinnitus is the perception of noise or ringing in the ear. This could come in mild or very serve cases. It could even come to the point of dropping a small object could sound like a small explosion for some.
Tinnitus isn’t a condition itself, but it’s a symptom of an underlying condition such as hearing loss, ear injury or a circulatory system disorder. Most people are unaware when they first get tinnitus because not too many people know about tinnitus.
There are many places that are trying to raise awareness for tinnitus like the Tinnitus Association if South Western Ontario. Which is currently hosting an online auction to raise support for tinnitus research. Grant Dobson the founder of this association and also someone who suffers from tinnitus told us his motivation was that he just wants to public to be more aware of this problem so that people who suffer from it can seek the help they need.
Tinnitus can be mild or severe but there is way to treat it like using sound therapy, avoiding stimulants, and taking the right supplements, but like most body problems it’s most important to be aware of the issue that could be causing you to suffer.
