London is known for it’s fresh roasted coffee and farmers markets but its diverse food scene seems to be what’s making the tummies of Londoners grumble.
Londonlicious is wrapping up this month with several diverse restaurants on the lineup for Londoners to introduce their taste buds to new cultures. From Burmese to Italian, the city has an incredibly diverse food scene.
The month-long food festival offers set menus at participating restaurants with set price points to make the experience budget-friendly.
One of the restaurant’s on the lineup is Bourbon Street, the only new Orlean’s style restaurant in the city. Chef Dominic Raso says he got the inspiration to open the restaurant after travelling to the colourful city:
“I feel in love with the food, the music, the whole ambience of New Orleans.”
For the Londonlicious festival Raso will be serving up his favourite creole dishes, including jambalaya, bread pudding, pecan pie, blackened red snapper, fried munk fish, and gumbo.
In the word’s of author Deborah Cater, “You have to taste a culture to understand it.”
