It was a weekend for young families and motor heads alike.
The Monster Jam Tour came crashing into Budweiser Gardens this past weekend for a 2 day event with a few different shows. The eight drivers vied for eight points per competition towards the overall standings. Canada’s lone driver Cam McQueen took a few event wins this weekend in his truck Northern Nightmare. Meanwhile arguably the most known truck Grave Digger won the entire show by garnering the most points.
In the interim between the monster truck events were ATV races between drivers representing their affiliated truck also competing for eight points towards the standings. Through cones and jumps the ATV’s ripped across Budweiser Gardens.
The final event of the show is the highest anticipated one- freestyle.
The drivers got to do whatever they pleased in the allotted time in order to gain the best score from the judges as well as through fan voting on a scale from one to ten. Northern Nightmare and Grave Digger ended up tying for first in the event as they each included ‘donuts,’ wheelies, and jumps throughout their run- the only two to do one thing from each of the previous events.
Monster Jam’s next stop on their tour is Vancouver, British Columbia where Northern Nightmare looks to impress and wow yet another Canadian crowd.
