Charges are pending against 5 people after London Police executed a search warrant on an illegal marijuana dispensary.
Officers searched the London Relief Centre located at 691 Richmond St. Wednesday morning, where they arrested five people and transported them to the police station located on 601 Dundas street. Few details are being released while the investigation is ongoing.
“We aren’t cracking down on dispensaries anymore than we did previously, we just want the public to know that so long as marijuana is illegal in Canada, the London Police Service will continue to stop illegal trafficking establishments,” says constable Sandasha Bough.

Last week, the Ontario government announced 40 cannabis stores will open next year when marijuana is legalized and an online service will be open by the summer.
The province says that they will continue to crack down on unsanctioned dispensaries before the July 2018 legalization of marijuana. The London Relief Centre is a new establishment in London, which quietly opened it’s doors on Richmond earlier this month.
