There is one person dead after a train struck a sidewalk snow plow killing the operator around 9:30 this morning. the accident took place around the Colborne and York Street area, the train was moving east bound and the plow was moving north bound down Colborne street.
The train had come to a stop, effecting the crossings between Adelaide street and Rideout street and blocked intersections downtown until around 1 pm.
The crash also delayed a Toronto bound VIA passenger train from Windsor that was supposed to be leaving London around 11 am but didn’t move until 1 pm.
The name of the person who was killed is still being withheld until the next of kin are contacted.
