Super Bowl Sunday is upon us and bars all across London are setting up for the big game. One local student hot-spot, the Ceeps, has been preparing to host their event for weeks. A manager at the Ceeps, Mike Michalski, says they’ve put in a lot of work to make sure guests are entertained and comfortable. “We have reserved 130 seats right now but are expecting around 200 people this evening in total.”
In terms of preparation, Michalski says that since the Super Bowl is a “seating event” and not a “party event”, they don’t need to worry as much about security as they would on St. Patty’s day or Homecoming for example.
With many bars having Super Bowl events tonight, it can be hard to stand out. Michalski shares some of the hosting tricks he has picked up along the way of his five-plus years managing Ceeps. “We got a couple jerseys to give away at halftime, some bud light hats, and even a beer fridge. Everyone will get a ticket at the door with a chance to win these items,” says Michalski.
Ceeps recognizes their student demographic, and that is why this year they have chosen to do a $15 all-you-can-eat buffet. The items on the menu include all the Super Bowl party classics; such as chicken wings, pizza, nachos, and more.
Michalski adds that Ceeps offers free overnight parking so that patrons can enjoy their time but still stay safe and refrain from driving under the influence.
