It’s that time of March again! Elementary and secondary students have the week off for March break. Luckily for parents that don’t know what to do with their kids, Western Fair District has a family-friendly event going on this week. From 9:00am-5:00pm on March 14 and 15, there will be a series of animal-themed shows.
The four acts are: SuperDogs, Splash’N Boots, Soper Creek Wildlife Rescue and Canadian Raptor Conservatory’s Birds of Prey. Although they are highly entertaining, these shows are meant to be educational as well.
“We like to entertain but we like to educate as well. We’re an agricultural society so we do a lot of that through farm animals and agriculture through the fair” said Heather Blackwell, Director of Agriculture at the Western Fair District.
