“Treat Yourself”, that was the slogan used at Kappa Alpha Theta’s Dessert Bar. The sorority held an all you can eat dessert event at their house in London, ON to raise money for the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).
Alexa Rocca, a sister of the sorority, said, “The event is really about treating yourself, we understand that this is a tough time of the year for students so we thought this would be a great way for students to enjoy some tasty treats and be amongst friends.”
Theta was inspired by the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity’s Austen Berlet Campout (which took place last week) and wanted to aid in their cause for mental health. The sorority usually helps out with the fraternity’s event but was unable to this year due to complications with the venue. So in order to compensate they decided to host a fundraising event at their house to support the CMHA, just as Phi Gamma Delta did at their Campout.
The event was an all-you-can-eat dessert bar with five dollar cover, all proceeds went to the CMHA.
