Almost every Ontario college or university student faces the burden of purchasing textbooks within the first weeks of school. These books can add up to cost hundreds of dollars per semester and this year students have been complaining about the costs more than ever before.

s at the books stores continue to get longer, people remain unaware of alternative services that can not only save them money but actually make them some money as well.
We have all heard of textbook buy-back systems where schools offer you a much smaller number for your used books than what you originally paid for them. Most students use these services because they do not want to deal with the stress of selling their textbooks and they are unaware of other services available to them that will do this for them.
Kevin Masterson is the activities and event manager at Fanshawe College and he came up with a system that benefits the student more than ever before. This pop-up bookstore charges the student one dollar for their used books and then sells the books for the students, giving them 100-percent of the profit. The student has the power to choose what the price of the textbook will be and they can profit off of what once cost them a fortune.

The service is located across from the Outback Shack in Fanshawe college and students are able to purchase these discounted books until the end of the week.
